Courage To Speak Honestly

The Wylde - Be Gentle, Be Kind, Find Peace
Courage To Speak Honestly
by Michael Doyle

Lost in life's waves as they come and go
Whether trough or crest there is much to know
We must never be afraid to speak honestly
Railing against injustice and acting efficiently

As much as we can to rid the world of lies and greed
We emerge in the world's story for compassion's need
We must have the courage to raise our voices
Making the world somehow better through our choices

We must follow our convictions and always be strong
This is how we begin to create a world in which we belong
One of those choices we have to make it to walk in kindness
Bringing the world our light drive away its dark blindness

It is the simple truth that provides its own evidence
Like kindness in words creating a world of true confidence
In which we can rely on one another for assured relevance
It would be better if our worst leader acted with benevolence

It is this kindness of thinking that becomes profoundness
As we look on each other's struggles only to confound this
And link hand in hand to become something that is unbreakable
Allowing our family to fall is something that is unspeakable

And after all, we are part of one family, aren't we all?
It's just something that we have forgotten but need to recall
It is this kindness we learn to share in creating love and giving
To each one and everyone, until it become our way of living
