The Tears That I've Wept

From the lowest to up on high
From the shepherds looking to the sky
To all of us who needed to be saved
Jesus came to raise us from the grave

Answering the prayers for all
Given to singing in response and call
That comes to giving its healing
God let your mercy be prevailing

My eyes search across the pages
For the word of the Rock of Ages
Let faith carve the path that I walk
And wisdom guide the words that I talk

As He lives among us
Giving to and shaping us because
He is the God shepherding my heart
And asks only that I do my part

I do my best to turn my life around
Living by the truth that I've found
Promises made are promises to be kept
God's love heals the tears that I've wept
