Home Is Felt

Home Is Felt
by Michael Doyle

Banging on the walls of our spaces
Checking the layout of our places
Popping the bottle of our cheer
We'll find our way to make our there

The there of our shared creature comfort
Learning how we'll fit and comport
Spinning around with heads in the clouds
We'll fit our traces and do each other proud

Until you, my life flashed on by
With me hoping to find one true love
I'd explain our lives with my sigh
Until you became what I was thinking of

Moving forward without precision
But knowing that you are my vision
We'll move your woman's touch together
As we blend our dreams into forever

Added splashes come together just right
Simple words touch life with their light
As we look forward to our days ahead
Our memories are built by things done and said

Until you, my life flashed on by
With me hoping to find my true love
A lot of life can be explained with a sigh
Suddenly, you became what I was thinking of

As we move into real life's paces
We find peace in each other's spaces
Learning to refine our graces
We'll live the love of our embraces

Home is felt as we continue to grow
Coming together into all we'll know
Filling our dreams one step at a time
We're getting our shine on so sublime

Until you, my life flashed on by
With me hoping there was a one true love
I could explain life away with a sigh
Until you were all I was thinking of
