Love Is Never So Blind

Love Is Never So Blind
by Michael Doyle

A good conversation
Might lead to devastation
If you don't play it right
You can lose love in one night

Boy, what are you trying to prove
By making every wrong move
It's not like you don't know
What comes from this flow

Love is never so blind
As to allow being unkind
All the things that might have been
If you don't ignore your godsend

Pride might fly you to the sun
But your waxen wings leave you undone
That's what you get from flying too close
What could have been, hurts the most

You say you didn't mean harm
In rolling out your charm
A little conversation and a little drinking
Boy, what were you even thinking

Love is never so blind
As to allow being unkind
All the things that might have been
If don't ignore your godsend

You've lived the good days
In about a million ways
It wasn't your best play
When you find you've thrown it all away

What's that candid expression
It's really not a good impression
When you follow everything that shines
Until you've crossed that fatal line

Live is never so blind
As to allow being unkind
All the things that might have been
If you don't ignore your godsend
