A Prayer For the Unbroken Passage

Daily prayer helps along our communion
It keeps our path to God in its union
Launched humbly into a daily conversation
It guides us toward our heavenly destination

Jesus brought disciples to see his transfiguration
They had a godly experience beyond exaggeration
Revealing Himself as God's only beloved Son
Bringing the knowledge of how God's will is done

There's work to do before we reach perfection
We are called by God toward this direction
We walk in a fallen world, but we take our heart
Knowing Jesus is with us from our very start

Everything is possible for those who believe
However hard it is as the fallen world deceives
Remember Noah and Moses for what God is about
You'll realize there is no cause to ever doubt

God's name reveals what he can truly do
I Am is the God of everything; He lives in me and you
Self-sufficient, He is universal and eternal
Accomplishing beginning and end, defeating the infernal

Everything is, and all can be completed and done
When we align our will with the ways of the Son
We are to believe but need help to overcome
What we ask, if right, will be done

I Am is the answer to wishes we call
It's best for us to always recall
Our Father is with us all the time
I know this to be true about this God of mine

We are limited by what we ourselves can do
But our God awaits the prayers of me and you
And what we can't do, He can and will 
This is the greatest truth we can reveal

We can pray alone or in the midst of community
Praying for the church as if we are God's family
To remain always steadfast in our humility
That in boldness, we'll become all we can be

Pray for the love of our godly family
We pray for strength in marriage and unity
Orphans, widows, and all in our constant reflection
All the children of God know this connection

Pray for all who serve to better our community
They are the servants of our holy family
We lift them up in our holy moments of praise
As upon this world we continue to gaze

In a proclamation of belief, we join hands
To give this love as best that we understand
let us be servants and leaders in all we do
The best of this world begins with me and you

Called by God in our great commission
Let no one slip by in accident or omission
This unconditional low is our greatest gift
God's is the love that heals every rift
