Moments In Joe Rogan’s Mind

Moments From Joe Rogan's Mind
by Michael Doyle

Life is the near-death experience
In which you always stay alive
The truth of this is felt by preference
Even when uncertain that you'll survive

The backhand data feels a little missing
But no matter how, it feels a bit dismissing
We are the generation of the anti-woke
Walking in a world of mirrors and puffing smoke

We are the team of the real values
The one with the language we don't need to choose
The world gets weirder than weird more than a lot
As we track the paths God seems to have forgot

I prefer to live my life in full-bore reality
Where gender has standards and actually
It seems that no one knows which way is up anymore
It's just a brave new world we can infinitely explore

In this world that mysteriously lost its conscience
We had best be careful of following the science
Be it Covid or the Chinese use of prematurely dead bodies
There are a lot of really strong possible maybes

It seems this is a life set up for equal jokes
It's how we learn if our companions are fair folks
If people can take as much as they willingly give
We live in a world of live and let's forgive

After all, we owe ourselves to pre-civilization
Successes before the door led to our actualization
And as mankind prepares for its trip to Mars
We wonder how AI evolved into driverless cars

These sorts of thoughts build on our genetic memory
Of how mankind moved beyond laughing with monkeys
Rogan teaches us to think one critical smile at a time
What if the best life offers is simply a punchline?
