The Lion of Judah protects our salvation The keeper of our faith provides our explanation This family of faith prays in His name To find our path perfected without blame
Paul and Barnabas sharply disagreed About John Mark's journey, due to his needs Yet, he grew to become one who would lead Which indeed makes up for his past misreads
Peter and Mark both needed to take a pause In spreading the gospel as God's cause It comes down to the compassion of the God we follow Who makes the stars from those in the shadows
From acts to redeem us with compassion Jesus came to reason but also with His passion From the mercy given on the roadside There is healing truth that cannot hide
Son of David, not of Levi, He came to heal Those diseased did not have sins to reveal Christ came to love and bring us our salvation Healing us regardless of rabbinical suppositions
Jesus tells us which direction to rise and fall That we might each hear our spiritual call Hearts are stirred to take the best action That leads us to our best godly satisfaction
The Bible, as revealed, is the best love story Written to and for us all and to be worn in glory Do not be silent, but cry out all the more To be close to Jesus and open the kingdom's door
Healing the blind so that they can see Healing the wounded eyes with Heaven's mercy So many reasons to follow Jesus' ways Attesting to the truth throughout our days
We come as we are and grow to conform Putting on Christ as our desired new norm There is no reason to hide this joy in shame Through Jesus, our hope bears no sense of blame
All of us are more than worth in God's sight Whatever our wrongs, we too can get it right Even a wretch like me deserves God's grace Saved by the love of His holy embrace
However, judged it is that we may feel Our prayers for mercy can make this real We know ourselves as part of God's family We can be and are recipients of His mercy
