Giving Our Best Attitude

We find our safety and security
In what brings us true liberty
To live our lives as we want to be
This is the path of living free

We pass some things on as a legacy
The Bible reflects this complexity
It's a love letter to teach us love
Following God's ways shown from above

Facing forward into the future with gratitude
We look at the Bible with our childlike attitudes
The Bible preserves His chosen people's history
And provides the secrets of the revealed mystery

Along with the history are the books of the law
Bringing rules and guidance to readily recall
Family rules that bring us together in unity
It's been like this throughout our history

It's these things that start our relationship
And builds the path to our best worship
We are to live in freedom but to do real good
As servants of God, this is certainly understood

We will choose the ways we will live
And God will nearly always forgive
If we are to live best, we will follow God's ways
And if we follow this plan, we will have our best days

Life to the fullest, living as we've been taught
This road map is the one we've always sought
The Bible is a love story between God and man
All we need to do is to follow His plans

1600 years of truth in one full measure
Rests in the words of God's greatest treasure
Giving percepts of joy and teaching what's right
There is great reward in keeping this in our sight

The Bible was kept in a constant state of purity
Hidden in the heart as a matter of utmost surety
God's word is to be written on the heart and mind
It is sight given in a world of the bitter and blind

In the dust of the rabbi, pious students learned
Until they knew right enough for God to be discerned
How do we bring an expectancy of how it is that we grow
And through God's love, we learn in stillness then to know

There are some filters that will teach us best
To be successful in our life's constant flow of tests
God's breath is written and spoken to teach
Every possible person who seeks God to be reached

And trained to this in holy and godly ways
It is so that we can find our steps in these days
Loving the Lord with all our heart and strength
Throughout every day's most prolonged sense of length

Loving the Lord God as He's held in your heart
To find your best finish from the very start
This is a prayer of humility and gratitude
That brings us closest to our best attitudes
