On Abundance and Incompetence

Across America, the Left rules with impotence.
It's a case of negligence and incompetence.
Despite California's being blessed by providence,
Its governance provides more than ample evidence.

It isn't just an outbreak of vast stupidity.
But more the case evidenced against vapid democracy.
From rampant wildfires burning out of control,
To high speed trains derailing the taxpayers' souls

Poverty is often found in uncontrolled abundance.
It is most often found in systems of dependence.
Those that do not encourage standing on one's own,
Are systems that result in the unfortunate being alone.

A hand up helps the struggling to their feet.
A hand out, keeps a man one step from the street.
To teach to fish is better to give a fish.
This is the truth of life's better dish.

It isn't just on the level of the individual.
The truth is that overregulation proves incapable.
There's a mess to be found in bureaucratic process,
And very little of it has achieved meaningful progress.

Taxation for taxation's sake proves more of a mistake,
Than failing to build well for fires and earthquakes.
Those taxes raised require accountable and effective spending.
Or these result in lost public trust and increased lending.

Neglecting public safety leads to eroded public trust.
This is what leads Democratic states to continuously bust.
While each state must maintain its adaptability,
The point of governance must always have clarity.

There must be measurable outcomes over ideological purity.
Or there will assured failure with absolute certainty.
This is what has led to talent and capital flight.
It will require pragmatism to set governance to right.

Success will require finding the political will..
Continued failure is a certainty until...
