A Well-Traveled Confession

A Well-Traveled Confession
by Michael Doyle

It's a resounding theme
To live this life and dream.
Putting God into action,
It brings the best of life's satisfaction.

Taking the drink of living water,
In the name of the Son and the Father.
It's amazing what we filter through,
In all of life and in what we do.

Putting faith in the steps we take,
We know our journey is not a mistake.
Hands held to take away life's grief,
This is the sacred way that brings relief.

Planted seeds in the soil,
It's a secret's work as we toil.
Finding encouragement in each other,
This is what God means by loving one another.

Better than words are the commands of love,
Doing, not saying, the ways of the above.
Faith and hope are our daily praise,
Bringing God into the hardest days.

Serving people is the truest ministry.
This has been the case throughout history.
The blessings shared are in abundance,
Prepared in the share of God's providence.

Moving in the moments that work together
Imprinted as they are to bring the better.
We can't let words get in the way.
The Holy Spirit leads our needed day.

The Holy Spirit filters purity.
It's the same for you and for me.
God washes through all that needs to be done,
Bringing hope for the hopeless through the Son.

It brings peace into this troubled world needed -
In the pleaded warnings and words heeded.
It's the love of Christ found in our actions
And through these chances taken, we find satisfaction.

Living testimony found in acting on God's laws
Removes all hesitation for His good cause.
We learn to share God's love as we struggle to do,
Finding the blessings are many and the troubles few.
