Verses of the Illuminati, Part I

Verses of the Illuminati, Part I
by Michael Doyle

Wondering if it's really worth speaking
To say that our world is at the point of breaking?
Artificial masters seem to take over life,
All in the promise of ending our daily strife.

Dreams of universal credit keep us giving,
Wondering about the point of modern living.
Everything is run by our intelligent machines
The world is getting taken over, if you know what I mean.

Artificial Intelligence is our new best friend,
Taken to regeneration, it will bring our end.
As we parade everything that we used to know,
Who is the master? It begins to show.

In increments, our freedom is surrendered for benefits
As we surrender all to the power of the government.
We cry out in desperate need of our cure,
Our edges are surrendered for impulses that are impure.

Disciplines are improved by the means of science
As humanity loses what passed for our conscience.
Big brother is quietly watching us a little too close
As our miracle dreams are just another likely overdose.

Power for its own sort of sense and it's own sake
Has gained the narrative that we cannot shake.
Power is not the means but has become the end.
Big Brother cannot pretend that he is our friend.

Tell me now, do you begin to understand?
The Illuminati is grabbing at command.
The Internet of Things is selfishly calling
As half awake, our freedoms are swiftly falling.

Meteors seen are nothing but debris
As esoteric branches struggle to keep free.
Secret societies fight for final control,
And none of these cares about our souls.

The evolution of us all ends in slavery
When mankind willingly gives up our liberty.
Intelligent life comes visiting with ancient artifacts,
All in a grand puzzle of questionable acts.
