Promises Made

Promises Made
by Michael Doyle

I remember the fateful day
That I finally decided
To embrace your heavenly ways
As God, you confronted me, and provided

The answers to all of my doubt.
I dove under the murky water,
But you eased my way out.
I give my promise to you, my Father.

They say I nearly died.
I say you had e in your hand.
I breathed my las, and you sighed,
Bringing me back to understand.

Every moment spent is a moment
That could have been too late.
I lived through the anguish and torment,
And your answer was for me to wait.

Every wrong move, you saw me through.
Your time is changing the night for me.
Yet, you'll always see me through.
Bringing me to the Holy and sublime.
