Family Appreciation

Family Appreciation
by Michael Doyle

In a passage of names, we find grace
Redemption is there for all who embrace
The truth: We must walk in Christ's ways.
That is, if we are to live His love in our days.

Give to each believer your love and care
Knowing your community is one with God there.
Christianity is a serving community,
Giving our all for the good of the family.

A shared life is lived within our stations
If we are living out our best dedication.
Walking the truth of our heavenly mission,
We must do our best in our given positions.

One by one, we claim our chosen fame
When we hear God's love called in our names.
But mostly it's not us but what we're called to do.
It's all a part of God's love if you take the long view.

And when the rains of life begin to pour,
We find that our family is life's best cure.
Stretched gaps create useless voids
They only cause friction, leaving us annoyed.

Digging in the weeds, we find we all have a role.
What is important is cultivating our souls.
No part played is more important than the heart.
We've known this from our family's first start.

The Lord's eye holds us all in full knowledge.
In all and of all, He does readily acknowledge
Each of us is a member of His vast family.
All of us are who make up the Christian community.

Before it's over, all of us will bow in full grace.
God's desire is what we must fully embrace.
We are brothers and sisters in our theology,
All of us are joined together on behalf of His divinity.

Linked arms bring life in the impact of our belief.
We live as we do in happiness or in temporal grief.
Look around and see through the eyes of our family.
We are the hope and life of our bonded community.

Living life's smile, we look at our family in gratitude,
Allowing this love to shape the best of our community.
Recognizing this brings us to renewed dedication
As we live our love in Godly appreciation.
