My Taken Stand

My Taken Stand
by Michael Doyle

It's time for a little Sunday good,
Listening to a sermon as understood.
It's about the faithfulness of God's love
Shared with a hallelujah from above.

It's all about walking our faithfulness,
Knowing the path of His wonderfulness.
In return, all I offer is His praise.
I sing of His glory to my end of days.

I stand on my feet, hands in the air,
Stretched and reaching, letting go of care.
It feels like I've become a walking prayer,
And I feel His presence everywhere.

God meets us all where we are at.
I live this like a natural fact.
Whatever the weather outside,
The Lord keeps me warm inside.

Let's stand with our hands toward the sky,
Feeling His love in the sweet by and by.
Every challenge is met with optimism,
It has been this way since baptism.

I stand on my feet, hands in the air,
Stretched and reaching, letting go of care.
It feels like I've become a walking prayer,
And I feel His presence everywhere.

With my eyes lifted ever higher,
I reach out despite knowing my desire
Lays in the Heaven as close as my heart.
It's been there since the start.

Somewhere beneath this all too human mask,
There are the questions we need to ask.
By the unasked questions we become undone,
Until we are redeemed by God's only Son.

I stand on my feet, hands in the air,
Stretched and reaching, letting go of care.
It feels like I've become a walking prayer,
And I feel His presence everywhere.
