Leap of Faith

At times, you feel trapped,
And more than just a little scared.
The Lord has tenderly wrapped
His arms around you and cared.

There have been times you've paid the cost,
Waking in the middle of the night, feeling lost.
If you listen, the Lord will tell you
What it is that you really need to do.

No pressure, just compassion,
Second chances are given to our satisfaction
Hope brings the faith that affirms,
While the Lord answers and confirms.

We are in this fight together,
Our beliefs and prayers make it better.
We need the straight path of the cross walk,
Solid moments of truth, not jive talk.

In this world that needs comfort, not silence,
And too many are lost to endless violence,
God loves you, and you know that you know it.
Please, do not ever be afraid to show it.

Life's mysteries are best kept under the hat
Until you find the one who knows where it's at.
A look into their eyes, and the truth is laid bare.
Life becomes a blessing knowing someone cares.

Truth takes a leap of faith made.
It's the knowing of truth and not being afraid.
Friends give each other courage just by being there,
Always near enough to ease away my fear.
