The Lord Jesus watched from the shore Observing two men with great tenacity. While watching, He learned they had more. It was a mustard seed's faith in their ability.
Sometimes, nets can be cast with words said That lures wayward men into being kindly led. And those so caught within such a godly net, Would find the love given hard to forget.
It's a rugged decision to surrender and follow. It's a promise made that is in no way hollow. Especially that is when answering the Lord's call, And in so doing, willingly giving your all.
The sincerest form of flattery is imitation, And so Peter gave all, not knowing his limitations. His belief was that he would do as tasked, Even when the Lord hadn't so much as asked.
Peter did this, thankful for all he was given, He, among many, was aware that he had been forgiven Bravely, Peter helped deliver others from sin, From day one, when he became a fisher of men.
He spread the good news of this heavenly tale, Knowing with faith that God would prevail. Peter was the rock on which this was all built, And as such, he did his best with his hand dealt.
The greatest know that they have very much to learn About the believer's currency of faith and how to discern. He, like most of us, woke each morning needing grace. This is the love of God that we all embrace.
