Prepared For Life's Improvisation

Jesus lived into His flawless ministry
With an ethic of love spoken eloquently.
With His death, He left His tomb empty
To begin again, mankind's hope in history.

Immeasurable, He was hung on a bloody cross.
It was to our gain, but not His Loss.
Each of us now faces a holy choice,
Whether we affirm His grace with our voice. 

Today is held as the Resurrection Day,
For the Son of Man as we pray.
He rose to give mercy and salvation.
Through His Love, we receive Heaven's destination.

It was sin...
             As we begin.
It was love...
              Given from above.
It was belief...
                That delivered us from grief.
As we find Jesus is our rock...
               And we rise in delighted shock.

The atonement has been verified.
All the doubts, with evidence satisfied.
Jesus arose with a witnessed testimony
As the angels sang their grand symphony.

He came to lead through His submission,
Offering up love as His grand mission.
His Father's kingdom offers the sweet liberty
That has conquered all of human history.

Today is held as the Resurrection Day,
For the Son of Man as we pray.
He rose to give mercy and salvation.
Through His Love, we receive Heaven's destination.

It was sin...
As we begin.
It was love...
Given from above.
It was belief...
That delivered us from grief.
As we find Jesus is our rock...
And we rise in delighted shock.

Death is transcendence and transition,
Electrifying intensity has moved humanity's position.
The Disciples changed to help us face tomorrow.
We have been given Scripture to heal our sorrow.

Action steps are taken to save and atone,
All of this so that we do not walk alone.
Predictably unpredictable, and though we prepare,
We cannot truly prepare, but we still care.

For the Son of Man as we pray.
He rose to give mercy and salvation.
Through His Love, we receive Heaven's destination.

It was sin...
As we begin.
It was love...
Given from above.
It was belief...
That delivered us from grief.
As we find Jesus is our rock...
And we rise in delighted shock.

Though we should be taken by this whim
And making the effort to find him,
We see that it is Jesus seeking humanity,
Not out of vanity, but in the fullest humility.

Crossing the chasm to give us salvation,
Every step of the way, He offers sanctification.
At our most lost, Jesus comes to save.
Through His love, we are rescued from the grave.

Today is held as the Resurrection Day,
For the Son of Man as we pray.
He rose to give mercy and salvation.
Through His Love, we receive Heaven's destination.

It was sin...
As we begin.
It was love...
Given from above.
It was belief...
That delivered us from grief.
As we find Jesus is our rock...
And we rise in delighted shock.

The stone was rolled away to let us in.
Satan was defeated so that we can escape sin.
We are captivated by disallowing our presumption
And awakening to the awe and losing our assumptions.

A rewritten script filled with rolling thunder
As we gather to worship the Creator's wonder.
Leaning in with full and right intention,
We can't help but notice the glory calling our attention.

Today is held as the Resurrection Day,
For the Son of Man as we pray.
He rose to give mercy and salvation.
Through His Love, we receive Heaven's destination.

It was sin...
As we begin.
It was love...
Given from above.
It was belief...
That delivered us from grief.
As we find Jesus is our rock...
And we rise in delighted shock.

Jesus's resurrection wasn't new information,
It was an act of truest affirmation.
He had told His disciples of His resurrection,
Then it transpired to make the needed connection.

Bridging the gap to Heaven's throne.
Through three days of death, Jesus did atone.
Delivering all of us as was His service,
That we would come to fulfill His purpose.

Today is held as the Resurrection Day,
For the Son of Man as we pray.
He rose to give mercy and salvation.
Through His Love, we receive Heaven's destination.

It was sin...
As we begin.
It was love...
Given from above.
It was belief...
That delivered us from grief.
As we find Jesus is our rock...
And we rise in delighted shock.

Love has the final word in God's family
Bringing the truth that we might live holy.
All surrender to what God has brought.
We live the Great Commission that it not be forgot.

The game was changed to give us our chance
As we take our part in this grace-filled dance.
All it takes is for us to truly believe,
And His loving redemption is what we receive.
