Tough Prayers Silently Spoken

Tough Prayers Silently Spoken

We need to keep ourselves humble
However, the world may tumble
We need to be on our knees and pray
Our hearts are in gratitude and will stay

This is our best good answer
As we live life's flow like a dancer
Living the ebb and the flow
Giving our all in all we live and know

All this passes with words of prayer
God's will helps us evade Satan's snare
In our moments of prayerful worship
We are building our greatest relationship

His will and not ours to be done
All of this in the name of the Son
Small stories often have big meaning
Parables and prayers make us better human beings

Knocking at the doors for righteous opportunity
We know God will always be true to you and me
In this faith, we ask God for what we need
Day and night it is given as we daily read

It's there in the words of the good book
And seen by opened eyes as we take our look
Heaven is filled with angels waiting to hear
All that we love and all that we fear

Prayer is our first response, not a last resort
However much the Devil rails in his retort
Prayer changes things for the Lord's better
From where we are and whatever the weather

It creates the climate of where we need to be
As the divine catalyst for you and for me
Taking us from where we are to the there
We will reach through the effort of holy prayer

Prayer will always change our minds
In doing this, it leaves worry and anxiety behind
Instead, living the peace that is found
In the presence of the Lord as prayer abounds

Prayer changes our hearts from being broken
As we live the righteous life in words spoken
We learn we need to pray through our pain
It brings the sunshine, even in our life's rain

Praying changes the nature of our relationship
When given adversity, prayer becomes worship
You learn that if you can't meet in the middle
A secret is to pick God's side for just a little

And find yourself in a prayer held for the whole
Because, it turns out prayer shifts the soul
God can handle all that we find that we cannot
This is the open secret that some have forgot

Living in prayer will change our future
This grows as we grow and learn to mature
Prayer is the difference between where want to be
Shifting where we are to the good of our dignity

It turns out, prayer is the miracle of every season
Truth in vision is given for righteous reasons
Taking us to exactly where we need to be
Prayer is the best answer for all of eternity

Shape Shifting Ideologies

Shape Shifting Ideologies

In this age of putrid and flaccid philosophy
We have turned our faith away from mankind
Some feel AI is a better path than ideologies
In which undefined concepts are a forced bind

We bid the surface farewell and fall asunder
Knowing less about perfection than the blunders
That is our burden broken down into complexity
While we wish for anything that brings simplicity

All hail the glory of the simplest machine
Rejecting all binary but the ones and zeros dream
That all our answers are pitched as AI's capability
As we give up our souls to be ruled by technology

Shadows of what is coming are sold at a fever pitch
As the nerds and geeks find power comes with an itch
An itch that must be scratched to become satisfied
So long as there's an un-pushed button to be tried

We will remake the system on a trip to new freedom
Where there are cosmic hijinks lost in the kingdom
It's about trusting an allegedly impartial information
Decision without thinking on the source and formation

All hail the glory of the simplest machine
Rejecting all binary but the ones and zeros scheme
That all our answers are pitched as AI's capability
As we give up our souls to be ruled by technology

Given up because giving up shows the end doesn't matter
Life's serendipity is tossed against the wall and shatters
As the children learn only what they are told to read
We have forgotten that humanity is all that we really need

How have we come to trust in vaporware as if we aren't aware
That when conceptions aren't real we should always beware
There is no launch date for the miracles yet to come
And the emperor's new clothes are as naked as its kingdom

All hail the glory of the simplest machine

That all our answers are pitched as AI's capability
Will we really give up our souls to be ruled by technology?

Written In Blood and Sin

Written In Blood and Sin

In the ship's dark hull are whispered lies
As slaves and pirates stumble on alibis
Broken before the mast and the evil of eyes
The tales told don't matter in a sea of lies

These are believed in on the path to destruction
When we ignore the good book's instruction
All pirates know and it is deeply understood
That the path of Satan's lies leads to no good

A lie is a lie is a lie for those alive as strangers
To the dark side of mischief that leads to dangers
Each is ready to set the back streets on wildfire
If that's what it takes to quench their driven desire

Will it be mayhem or a swallow of wretched pride
That emerges at the door and into the other side
Decisions are made often to the price of us all
The story ends where pride takes its destined fall

Misdeeds grow by way of legendary disputation
Grown tall as the tales of a pirate's reputation
There will be no repentance nor sliver of hope
When a pirate's neck snaps at the end of rope

The crew awaits its further instruction
With no path out but assured destruction
There will be no mercy ever shown
In a pirate's life lived in parts unknown

But as sure as it is that loyalty is bound
It will be confronted off the shore of Nassau town
It's hard, if not impossible, to put trust in
Any pirate's oath written in his blood and sin
