First Principles: Do Not Conform To the Pattern of This World, But Be Transformed By the Renewing of Your Mind. Then You Will Be Able To Test and Approve What God’s Will Is

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2 (NIV)

New Life Reborn

Haunted History of Hummingbird Isle 2021 -Lightining Crashes
New Life Reborn
by Michael Doyle

The new life reborn
Knows its misery
Common sense would mourn
This loss of such history

As a life lived in pain
There are questions that strain
A thousand cuts into our morality
Are the price of approaching immortality

Like pawns on chessboard games
We are played out in the names
Of a god that burns our souls like fire
As Heaven and Hell come to conspire

Against the heretics who rage
Turning page after page
Favors and threats keep in play
All that madmen dread to say

God is God as man is man
Each doing as it is that he can
The ghouls who speak teach us all
The bitter lessons that cannot forestall

The painful truth that we regret
All the torrid moments that we cannot forget
We cry out in anguish and sorrow
Lifting up our hands in our prayers for tomorrow

Like Souls Rising From the Dead

Venesha, the Enchanted Isle - Enter the Phoenix
Like Souls Rising From the Dead
by Michael Doyle

Hidden symbols press the conscience
And then denies the separation of science
From the spirituality of all things true
This is independent of a fearful point of view

Morals only tend to get in the way
Of moments of greatest that bring the new day
There behind God's holy and sacred veil
Are these hidden truths that the godless seek to reveal

As the winter storm gathers and is frightening
The scientists seek to harness it's lightning
Blasphemous prayers bring consequential anger
It extracts its price and makes God a stranger

Greed for such knowledge as is barred by the confessor
Comes with the price of killing the professor
Eighteen mirrors equal eighty-one in palmistry
Giving the ninety-nine names to God, in His majesty

It is there engraved in our hands that we dearly clasp
In prayer, as we ward off Satan like a venomous asp
The palms of our hands bring the light outshining
All past lights known before in their great divining

There is the one light that gives life
Knowing its own way past the cosmic strife
However, once it passes, it blocks all other light
Cutting through Mother-Nature's womb to bring back the night

New life will be born like the great phoenix rises
It brings new meaning before the passing sun rises
And the fallen angels sign out like a hellish choir
Setting this craven world into its eternal fire

Lost souls seek out each other's company
They are mired with pain that knows our sympathy
Like those damned to darkness, seek the morning sun
The cursed wish only that their evil might be undone

First Principles: Heaven Forming Each On Other To Depend, Bids Each On Other For Assistance Call, ‘Till One Man’s Weakness Grows the Strength of All

“Heaven, forming each on other to depend, Bids each on other for assistance call, ‘Till one man’s weakness grows the strength of all. Wants, frailties, passions closer still ally The common interest, or endear the tie: To these we owe true friendship, love sincere, Each home-felt joy, that life inherits here.” – James Wilson, Of Man, as a Member of Society, Lectures on Law (1791)

It seems that perhaps James Wilson was quoting Alexander Pope though I cannot find a direct quote from Pope that states this except for this meme illustration.

Thought For the Day: A Man Said to the Universe: “Sir, I Exist!” “However,” Replied the Universe, “the Fact Has Not Created In Me A Sense of Obligation”

The Benghazi Shooting Gallery

Newfields Typography Shoot 03102020
The Benghazi Shooting Gallery
by Michael Doyle

They were left behind
Out of sight, out of mind
S.O.S. - we knew the address
S.O.S. - we created the mess

Breaching the agreement made
To men unafraid
To pay the price for our nation
There is no solid explanation

Staring down the barrel
Shooting from the straight and narrow
As if their lives depended on honor given
That they were left behind can never be forgiven

Ivory towered imbeciles thinking they knew best
Put their impractical theories to the test
Finding special operators expendable and demanding
And their guns and expertise beyond understanding

The only misunderstanding of the revolutionaries' view
And the immediate results of being under-armed and too few
Around the nation, the widows and children were shaking
As Clinton left the men stranded - it was heartbreaking

There's a price to Obama's treachery to be had
And it is the price of honor - which is sad
This treachery's price came with integrity lost
At a time when the loss was at a premium cost

They were left behind
Out of sight, out of mind
S.O.S. - we knew the address
S.O.S. - we created the mess

Breaching the agreement made
To men unafraid
To pay the price for our nation
There is no decent explanation

Staring down the barrel
Shooting from the straight and narrow
As if their lives depended on honor given
That they were left behind can never be forgiven

Pea shooting expert who knew next to nothing
Were not even skilled at the game of bluffing
Ivy League snobs who knew less than they think
Bred disaster edged to this catastrophe's brink

One bad decision made - one after another
Killing a true believing ambassador and my brothers
Set up like a surrealistic shooting range
Yet, Hillary found nothing too strange

A non-secure diplomatic outpost unprepared for any contingency
Should be the albatross that serves as Obama's legacy
It was a sniper's paradise that would bring a wicked price
The price of unheeded strategic advice

They were left behind
Out of sight, out of mind
S.O.S. - we knew the address
S.O.S. - we created the mess

A mess of broken agreements made
That sacrificed the lives of men unafraid
And who paid the price for our nation
There is no decent explanation

Staring down too many barrels
Shooting unprotected from indefensible narrow
As if their lives were lost to dishonor given
That they were left behind can never be forgiven

Another Verb Spoke

Tacoma Bay -Searching For You, High Tide and Low Tide
Another Verb Spoke
by Michael Doyle

Heaven help us for promises made
When we are feeling ignorant and afraid
Though it is that we respect God's might
We must not fear that God will smite

The things we do in ignorance and confusion
Knowing His rest carries our absolution
The superstitions held are tall as mountains
That Prometheus climbed to find immortality's fountain

Mankind tells itself necessary covering lies
As our hearts try to hide the silence from our eyes
Yet, some unpleasant truths must be told
For the last of our silence is our souls sold

For the thirty pieces of silver on which we stumble
As humility falls into the world as it crumbles
Our minds never stop; running for bore though broke
As each of us become ye another verb spoke

Our minds are engaged in universal games
Calling on each of God's holy and unholy names
Seeking after truth regardless of what we find
We search around on learning we must leave this world behind

We make our demands, no longer willing to implore
Breaking down the locked doors, free to explore
And unwilling to accept ignorance that we know to be untrue
This is the adventure that will leave marks by me and you

No one should die before knowing life's meaning
To die before then is to fail as a human being
Some are willing to give all to become a beacon of light
It's only anything that causes our fear of being right

Truth in light comes horrifying and frightening
As the searching mind seeks its enlightening
The questing mind seeks its path of investigation
As it searches for the path toward eternal resurrection

We know there are consequences to man's impertinence
As we try to forge resurrected life in all its importance
We think ourselves new gods seeking for man's new destination
And deem ourselves responsible to find our own resurrections

The search becomes the enigmatic riddle that has no negative
At least not to those who seek with us instead of being reactive
Such answers are banned precisely because these are true
With God's help then, there is yet work to do

Thought For the Day: The Ongoing War In the Middle East Has Raised the Threat of An Attack Against Americans In the United States To A Whole Other Level

“The ongoing war in the Middle East has raised the threat of an attack against Americans in the United States to a whole other level.”

“We assess that the actions of Hamas and its allies will serve as an inspiration, the likes of which we haven’t seen since ISIS launched its so-called caliphate several years ago,” Wray said. “In just the past few weeks, multiple foreign terrorist organizations have called for attacks against Americans and the West. We also cannot and do not discount the possibility that Hamas or another foreign terrorist organization may exploit the current conflict to conduct attacks here on our own soil.” – Chris Wray, FBI Director

A weak person who barely knows which direction to walk is in the White House. Without such weak leadership, these attacks by Hamas likely would not have taken place. Without weak leadership in the White House, there would not be porous southern borders which has allowed Jihadis to infiltrate our nation. Remember this when you vote in 2024.
