The Static of Electricity

Sacred Hills 2022
The Static of Electricity
by Michael Doyle

From the dark ages
Are turned the pages
Lit with electricity
In its spark of majesty

It fills up the night
With the brilliance of light
Though dark only moments before
Electricity conquered this forevermore

While another cup of coffee
Brings the morning time
Seeing and being in illumination
It's the secret of this magic fascination

The lock is taken off the chamber door
As the mind gains freedom to explore
All the questions of eccentricity
That might come alive through electricity

Praying In the Name Of…

Lost Dreams 2022 - In the Frozen Death of Winter
Praying In the Name Of...
by Michael Doyle

The battle is won in victory
My hands lift up in God, not me
Throughout all of my days
Every waking moment, focused on His ways

My hands lift up in His holy praise
He is the author of all of my days
Focused on carrying out his will to my ability
And keep this promise to my capability

The adversary intends evil in his turn
While God turns this into lessons understood
The Devil tries to shape evil in his turn
But my God turns this around for the good

All of our hearts are in need of healing
Just as it is that God is always willing
With everything lived in Jesus' name
The resurrection power covers our blame

It is the blood in our veins that saves
Keeping us alive beyond our earthly graves
In a house of hope and the miracles that we see
We receive all the blessings intended for you and me

We live full victory at the Father's feet
Knowing only victory and never our true defeat
Thankful for how God loves and what He has done
In the name of the Father, the Spirit, and the Son

Thought For the Day: What Happens When the Actual Evidence Doesn’t Match Up With the Public Narrative That Everyone’s Already Decided On?

“What happens when the actual evidence doesn’t match up with the public narrative that everyone’s already decided on?” – Hennepin County Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker

Derek Chauvin was deliberately railroaded. He MUST be released via Habeas Corpus or some other equally determinative manner immediately as reasonably possible. This has been and continues to be a grave injustice that society must reckon with forthwith. Those who deliberately acted to deceive the public must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

In Healing Hymn

Autumn Breath Manor and Forest -Death Takes heart
In Healing Hymn
by Michael Doyle

To be human is to fantasize
More than can be seen with naked eyes
Worried about what ghouls might be
After death's last-breath tragedy

We keep our eyes on what is next
And all the riddles that do connect
Caught in our pockets of desolation
While we pray for Heaven's gate as destination

The heart seems to drive and show
The cursed fluidity of the blood's flow
As we climb our mountains to find treasure
We find that there is no true way to measure

The worth we'd find in escaping death
If we could arrange to take another breath
What we would give to reopen the eyes
From death's eternally haunting lullabies

We seek new life in mystic healing
As we search for secrets God is concealing
Timid souls search for unfolded resurrection
Failing to understand that blasphemy's desecration

It is not courage but a matter of arrogance
That causes us to give God this great offense
We approach faithlessness in our questions
That we pursue without the least hesitation

Yet, it is that we seek to know
And refuse all lives by which we grow
A young doctor searches for hidden cures
That will allow enfeebled life to endure

Watching his father's patients grow ill and die
Only brings heartbreak and a thousand questions why
We search for some sacred reason they no longer live
But would of a loved one's life, our souls gladly give

The dying can only trust that those left behind
Will turn toward one another to love and to survive
And while their life's light starts to fade
Ask those they love to keep these promises made

The deaths that come like the tears that shed
Make it hard for us to mourn and bury our dead
Sadness circles until we feel we'll drown in sorrow
And the last brave soul cries for a better tomorrow

If wishing life for the dying is some blasphemy
Then let me burn on fire, inspired with sympathy
God will not see such mortal love as any sin
Not as long as dreams can dreamed, and begun again

What memories that we hold onto and manage to save
Are bittersweet like flowers placed on the grave
To always be remembered as if only just yesterday
In health and sickness, we won't allow these to fadeaway

First Principles: Freedom of Speech May Be Taken Away, and, Dumb and Silent We May Be Led Like Sheep, To the Slaughter

[I]f Men are to be precluded from offering their Sentiments on a matter, which may involve the most serious and alarming consequences, that can invite the consideration of Mankind, reason is of no use to us; the freedom of Speech may be taken away, and, dumb and silent we may be led like sheep, to the Slaughter. – George Washington, Speech to the Officers of the Army at Newburgh, the Newburgh Address, March 15, 1783.

The Artful Conflict

Moruya Island Jungle Camp - Silent Spring Falls At Wit's End
The Artful Conflict
by Michael Doyle

Humanity is invariably drawn to the good fight
And it is unorthodox when it is brought to light
That a southpaw stance taken can bring true value
To all of us sinners, even me and you

Blessed are the peacemakers who live and follow
In the loving ways followed from God's shadow
Among humanity's breakers, fakers, and makers
Each of these are this world's movers and shakers

The last of these carry our relationships through
Striving hard in the concepts and actions we do
Loving our neighbors as ourselves in humility
We are after all, part of God's one family

Biting and breaking are harsh elements that destroy
All that is meant in building up and learning to enjoy
We followers are to gain and use peaceful skills, yet,
It's necessary for us all to grow the necessary skill set

Conflict comes all too naturally with relationship
Learning to deal with it well is part of rightful worship
The value had in people is worth peaceful resolution
And not cutting off others and their valuable contributions

The best time to win any fight is before it starts
We must learn to fix the right attitudes in our hearts
To begin with, what causes all these quarrels and fights?
It's the same thing that causes are sleepless nights

Most fights come from the pressures of desires within
We must do the hard work to avoid our complicating sin
The wars around us too often come from our wars within
It is never redundant to think on this and then again

We too often go sideways in our tendencies that show
And we must watch these to keep our best, even flow
This is the path from conflicts if we are to grow
To know anyone else, we must ourselves learn to know

Asking our forgiveness for our soul's contributions
Often takes the impact out of life's retributions
In all of our conflicts, when all is said and done,
We must realize this if we are to best follow the Son

Thought For the Day: What’s Terrible Is To Pretend that Second-Rate Is First Rate

“What’s terrible is to pretend that second-rate is first-rate. To pretend that you don’t need love when you do; or you like your work when you know quite well you’re capable of better.” – Doris Lessing
