“No nation in history has survived once its borders were destroyed, once its citizenship was rendered no different from mere residence, and once its neighbors with impunity undermined its sovereignty. Ending illegal immigration now depends solely on the American people overriding the corrupt special interests and leaders who profit from the current chaos and human misery.” – Victor Davis Hanson
“The fabric of American empire ought to rest on the solid basis of THE CONSENT OF THE PEOPLE. The streams of national power ought to flow from that pure, original fountain of all legitimate authority.” – Alexander Hamilton (1787)
Every day brings the miracles that we pray In peace and calmness as we stay Collected in the Church of His holy name We trust in God to remain the same
Wisdom is shown when we pay attention To the growth in our own tension Going through the growth that is needed With every word of God being heeded
Letting proper stewardship be our measure Letting Godliness be the Church's treasure Though we live under worldly domination It is God's path that will restore our nation
The Lord is the Creator of all that is seen The entire universe is His, even human beings Though we painfully wrestle with Godly questions We embrace this theology without hesitation
With clumsy falls into God's given opportunity We walk our journey with our best pass at integrity Serving the Lord's will fits like an easy yoke The truth found in this is no foolish joke
The shared community of faith is something beautiful With its questions that bring us something wonderful To the real dealt that each of us deeply lives Through the faith and the mercy that God gives
There is nothing to which God is not aware He sees all, knows all, and gives us His care Attentive to our lives in every possible way As He is present in every moment of our days
The eyes of God are on every hedgerow sparrow Even when we are down to the skinny of our narrow God remains available for us all Only awaiting on our souls to humbly call
The finished work of God was completed on the cross To our family's gain and without a loss We don't need to slug it out on our own Because God is able and we're never alone
We fix too often on negativity instead of blessing Too often caught up our anxiety and second guessing We need to dust off our feebled realization That the Creator comes to make our needed connection
Those who wait on the Lord find renewed strength Regaining breath as our lives are lived at length There are times that we will spiritually soar And yet other times, we're only hoping for more
That's when we need to run and not be weary Keeping Satan at bay and being leery Of being misled as we slow to a needed stroll Resting on the Rock to keep our forward roll
When it comes to God, there's no shame to pace And all we encounter should be faced with grace To take on the load of that uneasy road It is the tension of attention is Biblically foretold
We lean into the space of godly relationship As we enter together into our house of worship This is the theological experience of process That brings us to our greatest point of access
Literal and literary in our holy understanding Boxed-in feelings can be too demanding This is the path walked as we integrate to grow In finding God together for the best lives we can know

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. “ – Isaiah 40:30-31(NIV)
“Men are often capable of greater things than they perform. They are sent into the world with bills of credit and seldom draw to their full extent.” – Horace Walpole, novelist and essayist (24 Sep 1717-1797)
September 23, 2023, is the first day of Fall also known as Autumn. This day is also known as the Autumnal Equinox. It marks the first day of Fall in the Northern Hemisphere. Welcome to our new season with it beautiful colors and warm transition toward the Winter months to follow.
I'm not the kind of father Who can spend a lot of money However much I love my daughters My ex thinks this is funny
She complains about the money she spends Despite the child support given And I quietly listen as my life upends By all she's taken, though, that's forgiven
I don't tell my daughters of the unkindness How life is often less than it could be Or that the disease inside is causing blindness Wearing me down, though, I live through tolerably
They don't need to know that their faces Are what makes me able to go on Or that each hug leaves its traces That allows me something to dream on
I try not to think about what the doctors say That the disease will find its way to my brain I wish that I could wish this thing away I don't know if it will be memory loss or I'll be insane
Instead, I cling to what isn't gone Putting one foot in front of the other Pushing life to its limits, on and on Walking my steps and praying for another
My daughters hate how easily I fall asleep As I busily try to build them lasting memories Not letting them know too deep The depth of what's going on inside me
Each night, I wonder to myself Will I fall asleep to never again wake While I doze off to books from my shelf And I cherish my time with every breath I take
Last night, I watched them hurry down the stairs Wishing them love and the sweetest dreams Wondering if my miracles will know how they compare To the best of my best, and how this all seems
That if I can only live until they are both eighteen That my God has answered my prayers to the best Watching them grow up will be what I've seen If that prayer is answered, I don't need the rest

The Declaration of Independence is the only foundation Legitimate for the civil government of our great nation History has shown the path forward, and it is man's test To put aside all nations building an empire through conquest
While we must not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy There are many right-minded reasons for which we do deploy Being ever mindful of all needed measures of true constraint And being even more cautious than over-extending needs restraint
We still cannot afford to ignore a rising tide against freedom That would seek to invade other nations to rule as if a kingdom Putin's march into Ukraine is but one link in his planned chain It is villains like this that we must join together to constrain
The global decline in respecting democratic freedom is alarming It's accompanying growth in autocracy is far less than charming It undermines international peace and hinders national security Backsliding on human rights, it strips away human dignity
We must redirect and fix our military, which has become broken Led by miscreants of the Woke who lead loudly and outspoken Undermining needed cohesion and lacking strict accountability A politicized oversight distracts from honing our capabilities
More than ever, we need to marshal our allies' full engagement And interoperability to seek and keep advantageous agreement Deterrence, denial, and defeat are made easier with our friends At least with those on whom we know that we can always depend
This is not the time to abandon principle for increased isolation Such moves against our true hearts can only damage our nation Appeasement has never worked to gain peace in all of history This is a fundamental lesson drawn from time without mystery
As we take our courageous steps, we must holdfast to the policy That holds true to the first principles of our nation's history The Declaration and our Constitution are the true rule of law Without holding fast, deconstructing these can only lead to fall
These principles strongly call for a reasoned rededication To these things necessary for the preservation of our nation If we fail to do this, who then will? Destruction prevails That which sought to shine will become this earth's worst Hell
Like Washington, we too, should swear to protect and defend Our constitutional legacy that allows us to openly contend That America is the place to signal the light of our liberty Freedom's call that is ours to keep within our reasoned dignity
There's no time like the present to think of a future coming fast And set our steps in motion that will allow us to be steadfast Ensuring that we, the People, pass on our freedom and liberty As our greatest gift given to our children without apology
The selflessness dedication of the American people in their being Is a priceless example, rare throughout history, and seldom seen Armed with peerless, discerning hearts to see right and wrong This is our place in history, for which we are suited and belong
Renewed in faith in the God of Heaven above, we will not only talk The talk of freedom and liberty, but also bravely walk that walk This rallying point of freedom is what makes our America so great It is our rendezvous with destiny that we so boldly state

“It is a curious thought, but it is only when you see people looking ridiculous that you realize just how much you love them.” – Agatha Christie, author (15 Sep 1890-1976)
Heading out of Australia to escape this Aussie winter. First stop Japan, then UK/Ireland and if work doesn't call me back, onto Chicago. I will make it up as I go along
