Love Lives On

The Circle of Thoth Anubis Quantum Feld Theory- A Quandary of Vibrations
Love Lives On
by Michael Doyle

Driving around the middle of the nation
Trying to stimulate my daughters' imaginations
And love for seeing the beauty of this nation
Like their grandmother would have; if the situation

Had somehow allowed this to follow
If she had thrived; but somehow I'm just a shadow
Of all that she could have been with her artist eyes
That would have painted every bend's surprise

Today marks the anniversary of her death
And it saddens me; taking away my breath
While at the same time, making me happy
As I realize that her soul is with us on every journey

I love their excited eyes as we go to explore
Kindling the fire of wanting to see so much more
As I retrace the steps, she would have chose to reveal
And once did for me, so many years ago, and still

I add my something of difference in their day
Realizing a garden of dreams along the way
Letting each blossom bloom as if meant
Into the new, maybe bolder dreams to be dreamt

Making lists of music, movies, and food to eat
That maybe they would have had, if they could yet meet
The artist and dreamer who once opened my eyes
To so many pleasures and happiness to my surprise

Wiping sleep and tears away from a young boy's eyes
Teaching me to love without remorse or compromise
And showing her son a world meant to explore
Looking for that something better and something more

I think of her on the anniversary of her too-soon death
How she looked up at me, even with her last breaths
Telling me that she was tired and filled with pain
And like my grandmother before, long for West Virginia's rain

I wonder if she's smiling that I shared this home
Driving through the rains of West Virginia, with them, not alone
But with the two hearts that she wished she had met
She whispered that it was one of her only last bits of regret

In the places we eat and places that we see
I feel a bit of my mom living yet still inside of me
As I watch my daughters' faces at these traces
Of their grandmother's memories and her traces

...And I know that love
... her love,
... lives on

And still I miss her with my falling tears

First Principles: Only Aim To Do Your Duty, and Mankind Will Give You Credit Where You Fail

“It behooves you, therefore, to think and act for yourself and your people. The great principles of right and wrong are legible to every reader; to pursue them requires not the aid of many counselors. The whole art of government consists in the art of being honest. Only aim to do your duty, and mankind will give you credit where you fail.” – Thomas Jefferson (1775)

Lives Lived With Gratitude

In Mad Wonderland -Always the Scholar
Lives Lived With Gratitude
by Michael Doyle

Two words received along the journey
Ten men found their way to destiny
Samaritans and Jews knew their enmity
Except where leprosy was the common enemy

Struck with this sort of a disease
As they slowly died, putting others ill at ease
They were seen as unclean, until Jesus came to town
And gave even to the least of them, His victory crown

In these times, pity and mercy raised above fear
Yet, even here in this no man's land, hope persevered
As the fingers of God brought the needed healing
That soon to the priests, the lepers would be revealing

Obedience precedes the miracles found in the valley
Giving truth that takes us along the way of the journey
The miracles of faith lay on adversity's other side
Healing as we go along, leaving behind our foolish pride

Hear these words and hold them in great contemplation
About the meaning that becomes and is from our redemption
Paralyzed in promises that bring about needed gratitude
That comes from lowest to highest, in right attitude

We often find that the least likely praise God in His due
Overwhelmed by the blessings as are reborn as if anew
Prayers needed become answered, as these often are
But require sufficient faith to take us very far

In this world of too much taking, there is Hell in every soul
It is the self-evidence of indulgence and lack of self-control
Our lives should be as if clay molded by our gratitude
Where it is that life takes us in every layer of latitude

We need to wear thank yous on our lips and hearts of love
With God's eyes of burning fire drawn from Heaven above
We must live each moment as if in God's loving embrace
Loving as much as we are forgiven by God's holy grace

When we fall short of God's goodness, we often are astray
Which is why God gives us the course and the will to stay
Returning the love toward all as that we were and are given
Knowing that each of us have had the passage of being forgiven

It's a hard choice between good and evil with true conviction
As we increase in Him while decreasing our willful rejection
Allowing thankfulness given in love, life, and with praise
To become a shared story told and lived throughout our days

My God and our God is a supernatural God of holy power
Agreed on as lived in every second of our every hour
He is to be praised with the most earnest of enthusiasm
That models that natural gratitude behind our optimism

We live the praise of our God, in the lives we live today
As if there were no tomorrow, only today and yesterday
Living life with the holy love that comes from right attitude
Redeemed as we are, and filled with our earnest gratitude

First Principles: The Mild Voice of Reason, Pleading the Cause of An Enlarged and Permanent Interest, Is But Too Often Drowned…By the Clamors of An Impatient Avidity

“The mild voice of reason, pleading the cause of an enlarged and permanent interest, is but too often drowned, before public bodies as well as individuals, by the clamors of an impatient avidity for immediate and immoderate gain.” – James Madison (1788)

That We’ve Received

The Village Ireland - May Life Come At Ye Like An Irish Blessing
That We've Received
by Michael Doyle

Our praise shakes the ground
Earth and Heaven chased around
Wild and free as the winds blowing
We raise this love before the All-Knowing

Working His wonders before our eyes
To deliver His promises without surprise
Giving all the glory to His holy name
This day and all days, one in the same

We lift our eyes and believe
Showered in all the love that we receive
All the blessings that come our way
True miracles brought into everyday

This healing power comes with love
Given to us from Heaven above
The wonders worked and believed
Teaches us the one name that we've received

First Principles: Let Everything That Has Breath Praise the Lord!

“Hallelujah!

Praise God in His sanctuary.

Praise Him in His mighty heavens.

Praise Him for His mighty acts;

Praise Him for His excellent greatness.

Praise Him with the sound of the horn;

Praise Him with the harp and lyre.

Praise Him with tambourine and dancing;

Praise Him with strings and flute.

Praise Him with clashing cymbals;

Praise Him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!

Hallelujah!

– Psalm 150

Thought For the Day: The Fear of Telling the Truth – Whatever That Truth May Be – That Fear Is the Most Painful Sensation of A Moral Life

“As a child I was taught that to tell the truth was often painful. As an adult I have learned that not to tell the truth is more painful, and that the fear of telling the truth — whatever the truth may be — that fear is the most painful sensation of a moral life.” – June Jordan, writer, teacher, and activist (9 Jul 1936-2002)

While I disagree with many of the aims and goals and thoughts of Ms. Jordan, there are others such as the one stated above to which I passionately agree with whole-heartedly. Pursuit of truth is the most moral of all goals in life.

A Smile of Death

Home, Sweet, Home - Crazy Quilt Ringmaster For the Circus of Life
A Smile of Death
by Michael Doyle

The morning comes with a "how have you been"
That comes a bit too brightly in world gone dim
A smile unwelcomed can being its sense of dread
With the ominous thought that we'll all soon be dead

The anxiety breaks creeping across our soul
Until the wine can't help keep perspective in control
Uncertain about that it is that we have let in
The look behind us edges us away from our Zen

No scream can make the dread fade and disappear
When the reaper has decided to finally appear
Along comes its side of death creeping through the woods
The post-traumatic echoes that are finally understood

Each birthday bring us all the closer to the breath
That announces the final moment of our death
Tell me then, what is the pain that you believe you feel
That keeps us separated from delusion and what's real

There is an edge that comes with creativity
A ledge to be walked off into lasting depravity
Too much tiredness can make a soul weary
When the the confines of a heart has grown dreary

There's a generalized anxiety that we will all die
Yet, no one really knows the when or the ultimate why
Still, it's a fear beyond our worst sort of nightmare
Manically squeezing in a feeling that's there

Slow pan from the cinema's scene to morbid scene
Each dramatic pause makes us wonder what it means
Therapy won't help to explain; nor will rationalization
Clinging to the side of the walls defying analyzation

Masked faces seen in sequences of repeated hallucination
Scary smiles that inform in their ghastly explanation
It's a scream of a dream that tells us that we all will die
And not even a single soul can really explain the why

A slice of the throat with jagged glass leads to the bleed out
As the psychiatrist stands startled, strangled in her doubt
The ghoul smiles a smile that makes it want to go away
There are the fears that remain etched from that faithful day

Evil haunts us one-by-one, surprisingly quietly
Visiting us all at the odd moments; sometimes nightly
We cannot truly wish away the flood of pouring blood
Because as it washes across our world, it becomes the binding mud

Chasing cycles that never really make any sense but their own
Like the unwritten rules that are carved on our horror's stone
At the end the director's verdict captures the last hour
And with a smile of terror, we allow Hollywood this power
