Silent Cal
Silent Cal

Silent Cal
Spent a lot of time in his head.
But those things he said,
Keep on being said.
Silent Cal,
Kept in thought with little said.
But what he said resonates a lot.
It's not very likely to be forgot.
To the point, yet extraordinary.
His leadership was anything but ordinary.
Living in a frivolous, economic bubble,
His silence discerned the coming trouble.
There's as much said with an empathic "no"
Then there is an enthusiastic hello.
Fiscal restraint leads to limited government.
The free market needs little improvement.
Silent Cal
Spent a lot of time in his head.
But those things he said,
Keep on being said.
Silent Cal,
Kept in thought with little said.
But what he said resonates a lot.
It's not very likely to be forgot.
But excessive speculation leads to a bust.
Economic prosperity requires more than trust.
Principles stand hard through limited government.
The truth is, there is little need for improvement.
Though these days, it gets a lot of resistance,
Truth proves that little else beats persistence.
Walking life with principles and determination
Are among the best percepts to govern a nation.
Silent Cal
Spent a lot of time in his head.
But those things he said,

Silent Cal,
Kept in thought with little said.
But what he said resonates a lot.
It's not very likely to be forgot.
Unless the People take charge through unified action,
They will end in servitude to a selfish aggregation.
The elite wants only what the elites want at any cost.
If we do not stand fast, our republic will be lost.
We do not build up the weak by pulling down the strong,
A hand up, not a hand out, takes us to where we all belong.
We must keep America American if we are to succeed.
Let our principles be shown not by word but by doing our deeds.

Things never said cannot lead to much trouble,
Even as the People are misled by speculative bubbles.
However much speculators have egos quite bloated,
Silence is hard to be lied about or misquoted.
A man tries his best to do the things he should,
And sometimes looks back on the things he would.
But Silent Cal believed in this nation and liberty.
He had earned his place in the annals of our history.

Self Reflection
Self Reflection

I took a pause to see what life was giving,
Wondering if I was right in the way I was living.
Fear of God and knowing myself lead to wisdom
That will gain me my place in my father's kingdom.
I'm reaching out for all that, knowing that I am capable.
Growth is the option that makes change inevitable.
What lies within me and what lies before,
Is the inspiration that will help me reach for more.
Pushing off with all my might, I walk this holy ground.
I'm inspired by the love and the grace that I have found.
Whisper has it that growth lies beyond my comfort zone.
Thanks to my beloved savior, I know I'm not reaching alone.
Looking outside into the misty morning through my window,
I see all the hopes and aspirations as if I might know
That everything I hold onto every so tight and dearly
Is only dreams, I need to awaken to see truth more clearly.
Running water doesn't cast a true sense of reflection.
It takes still waters to find truth in their detection.
Without flinching, I came to learn and know myself.
It was from within, and not from any books on the shelf.
Pushing off with all my might, I walk this holy ground.
I'm inspired by the love and the grace that I have found.
Whisper has it that growth lies beyond my comfort zone.
Thanks to my beloved savior, I know I'm not reaching alone.
My misfortunes steadily led me toward transformation,
Having the power to observe at my soul's instigation.
Having learned enough from others to open up my eyes,
I found that time had led me to become more wise.
Learning my best lessons with every new mistake,
I have finally found myself walking this world awake.
I have come to embrace the sacredness of my solitude,
And have quieted my mind and soul with true gratitude.
Pushing off with all my might, I walk this holy ground.
I'm inspired by the love and the grace that I have found.

It’s In the Timing
It's In the Timing

Like the words of a good and holy song,
The melody and the beat come on strong.
The Kingdom of God is like a planted field,
Filled with good seed for expected yield.
The enemy is sneakier at night than during the day.
He plants unknown weeds, then he speeds away.
With no one on guard, there was no way to keep
All of God's children from the need to weep.
Still, there is no need for desperation.
The time of harvest is the time for separation.
..And all of God's children started to sing...
Out loud and strong, timing is everything.
The spirit of the living God dives deep
Spreading roots of inspiration to keep
God's word near to our hearts and souls
That it might lead us and gently console.
It's a well-known notion, not sublime,
That all the best things in life take time.
True wealth grows the possessor's wisdom,
And so it is, brethren, with the Kingdom.
Still, there is no need for desperation.
The time of harvest is the time for separation.
..And all of God's children started to sing...
Out loud and strong, timing is everything.
It takes time to learn to purposefully discern
All the needed lessons that cause us to learn.
Struggle is the path that leads us to reason,
And there is a time and reason for every season.
Every season under the sun needs to be understood,
That is, if you wish to be among that which is good.
Some things in life will pass as they come and go.
This is just how it is with the seasonal flow.
Still, there is no need for desperation.
The time of harvest is the time for separation.
..And all of God's children started to sing...
Out loud and strong, timing is everything.
Like deciduous trees, in the winter, they are bare
But wait for the seasons if you really care
In the spring, they will blossom and fruit,
And in Autumn will change color, some to their roots.
Some wish to hold onto while needing to release.
It's like sheep refusing to be shorn of their fleece.
In our stubbornness, we hold onto our thoughts,
We need to grow with our seasons as we should and ought.
Still, there is no need for desperation.
The time of harvest is the time for separation.
..And all of God's children started to sing...
Out loud and strong, timing is everything.
