Ode To A Low Key God of Mischief

Sinister plans thicken the plot
Allusions to brutality are too often sought
There in the hinterland outside of time
In a spit shot that feels less than sublime

Absorbing the heart of stars outshined
Into the infinity cast into the refined
Chaos in the character of raging arrogance
Condemned as it were in a purgatory of happenstance

It's there in the infinite shades of mediocrity
That paint their allusions of outpaced autocracy
Prolonging the pain of one's too many mistakes
And living in the shadows of life's heartbreaks

A monochrome theme paints out the outcast scene
Of intensity within a god's dystopian dreams
Umber envelops itself into discordant earth hues
Brashly unfazed in it's pruning of distant views

Of those fractured branches of so called reality
Nightmares otherwise known in their place of locality
There in the in fever pitch of a new playing field
Is the drop of the bombs and their irradiant yield

Happiest of Independence Days, America 2021!

Happy Fourth of July everyone! May we always remember the battles fought and wars won for America’s freedoms and liberties! May it also be recalled that it has been our honor and privilege to fight for and preserve these throughout the world. May we soon remove the yokes of socialism and oppression that have been installed on the United States as the Biden Administration and its economic destruction through hyper-inflation are removed next election cycle.

Truth of Soul In Our Voices

Soul Deep
Truth of Soul In Our Voices

The soul brings access metaphysically
To animate our being into rationality
The soul is the place philosophy can shine
In the light of the heart and the divine

A spark of God comes to be understood
Though the hard sciences deny this as good
Soulless in the gulag stew of chemistry
Modernity it seems seeks to erase this mystery

Yet, here we go again somewhat scholastically
It's there in the deepest well springs
That tradition sets itself out majestically
As a reconstruction of truth that always brings

The substance of all that is in actuality
A moderate course plotted in the realm of possibility
Offering its virtuous elegance in sacred tradition
And still leaves us wanting for soul's true explanation

Aristotle asked questions as if to solemnly assert
The complexities between soul and the body inert
It's there in the animating principle of desire's choices
That we will find the truth of soul in our voices
