Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves. – Abraham Lincoln
“If it be asked, What is the most sacred duty and the greatest source of our security in a Republic? The answer would be, An inviolable respect for the Constitution and Laws — the first growing out of the last. … A sacred respect for the constitutional law is the vital principle, the sustaining energy of a free government.” – Alexander Hamilton (1794)
Perfectly Bright, Exceptionally Right
by Michael Doyle
Like a magic spark in the night
Your fire burned perfectly bright
Shining deep into my aching soul
One touch and I simply lost control
There is sweetness on your lips
Staring into my eyes, hands on hips
Fitting together so very wonderfully
You and me are truly meant to be
Dancing past the dark of night
Souls revealed in the morning's light
Your hands touching me brings pleasure
Beyond my words of happy measure
Your voice whispering into my ear
Is the last thing, I ever want to hear
As I hold you closer and so tight
Your love has made everything alright
Like a well fitting lock in combination
Your love is my deepest fascination
With every moment that we lovingly spend
Perfectly bright, exceptionally right we transcend
All boundaries in our intentional connection
With all of the love that you send my direction
How can I possibly feel any other sort of way
Than I want and need you in my every day

“Either you think — or else others have to think for you and take power from you, pervert and discipline your natural tastes, civilize and sterilize you.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940)
“The present Constitution is the standard to which we are to cling. Under its banners, bona fide must we combat our political foes.” – Alexander Hamilton (1802)
“Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security, or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.” – James Madison, The Federalist Papers No. 10
“A republic, if you can keep it.” – Benjamin Franklin
After the Biden Administration has repetitively stressed calling the American way of life over and over again, it seems there is no better time to remind those misinformed to read the Constitution. We are a constitutional representative government not a democracy. Our founding fathers deeply considered how our government should be formed and how to best wisely govern. Across the board, ‘democracy’ was ruled out as creating chaos and being self-destructive. Our form of government is written right into the Constitution if any reader should doubt this. If still confused after reading the words in the Constitution, please consult The Federalist Papers, the Anti-Federalist Papers and James Madison’s Note from the Constitutional Convention. If you still have any lingering doubt, consider this. If you are a citizen of these United States, when was the last time anyone asked you to vote on a Federal taxation rate, to go to war or pursue any ‘police action’ or anything of such consequence beyond the referendums questionably pursued by a handful of states. Democracy means, you vote, I vote. We add up all the votes of each citizen on each thing, process, proclamation, et al., and then the total winner, even if by one vote, wins. We are a constitutional representative republic, not a democracy, President Biden and company….
Lies For Truth
by Michael Doyle
There's a lot of people mistaking
The Devil's lies for the truth
It's an easy road to heartbreak
Especially, in our bolder youth
Chasing at golden bits of hilarity
With blinders on as we strain to see
Seeking after just a little clarity
And only finding star-gazing humanity
It's our puzzle to work out
Lost within our mental war
Hearts fill both sincerity and doubt
As we struggle to open each door
Is this then what life has to offer
Like a buffet of all we cannot eat
Born with hearts of hope that needn't proffer
The wages of sin paid in full in the heat
Passions burn us into jaded temptation
As we struggle through passages at our hands
Until we realize our hope rests in redemption
From things we will never fully understand

“Pray that fairness, honesty, and civility will crowd out division and that integrity will take the place of self-aggrandizing posturing. Pray for an educated citizenry to hold our representatives accountable. ” – Nate Jackson
“America’s founding principles are true not because any generation — including our own — has lived them perfectly, but because they are based upon the eternal truths of the human condition. They are rooted in our capacity for evil and power for good, our longing for truth and striving for justice, our need for order and our love of freedom. Above all else, these principles recognize the worth, equality, potential, dignity, and glory of each and every man, woman, and child created in the image of God.” – The 1776 Project
