The End of Darkness

The End of Darkness
by Michael Doyle

Running after the goodness of life,
I seek peace away from strife.
I turned the faith that I follow,
Keeping His ways everywhere I go.

Sip after sip of living water,
I have decided to follow our Father.
Seeking as I do, the one true story.
That's to instill the Father's glory.

Step after step, He removes my shame,
As I am moved to heal by His name.
Day after day, evoking His praise,
I bow down throughout my days.

My sins were taken on that cross.
He took it from me at His cost.
I will never know the penalty's cost,
But I am thankful for no longer being lost.

By the blood of Christ, I'm sanctified
With all He took as He sacrificed.
Lifting the world's tragic harshness,
His sanctified light saves me from darkness.

Step after step, He removes my shame,
As I am moved to heal by His name.
Day after day, evoking His praise,
I bow down throughout my days.

Religious Liberty In America

Religious Liberty In America
by Michael Doyle

The Woke agenda is practically gone.
Now is the time to pick up and move beyond.
The protection of faith is fundamental to liberty.
It is also elemental to America's history.

As long as our day has length,
Belief in God must be defended with strength.
We must not allow disbelief to shape society.
I say this calmly without any anxiety.

No more anti-Christian bias should be allowed.
We will hold our heads high and humbly proud.
No longer afraid to speak our faith and our minds,
The meanness of yesterday will be left behind.

The First Amendment and civil liberty,
Both speak plainly through American history.
We will work together to invalidate religious bigotry.
Faith is and was and will be expressed freely.

Love of God is joined to our love of our country.
This joining together is necessary for our liberty.
The rights of man were given by God, not government.
We must return to this understanding 100 percent.

It is to God that we owe our national resplendence.
It is thusly inscribed in the Declaration of Independence.
God's works are always something quite wonderful,
Wherever His touch is, it becomes something quite beautiful.

So it will be in our great and magnificent country.
We will trace our steps as a matter of belief and liberty.
In doing so, our nation will enjoy freedom's prosperity.
This was, is, and will be the path of our nation's history.

The Brave Man

The Brave Man
by Michael Doyle

The brave man knows
It's now or never.
The cautious man thinks
That's not so clever.

Sometimes it's simply time
To throw caution to the wind.
In these times, it's time to live
However it is, that dreams end.

She looked on with the thought
That she could patch him together.
He was willing to do his best.
But he knew that he knew better.

She thought she would try anyway,
Giving her trust in God above.
It began that faithful Autumn day,
This twist of fate, they'd call love.

Beginning a comic, tragic adventure,
They dreamed it for them and for all of us.
Setting sail under the cover of the waters,
Like Captain Nemo on the mighty Nautilus.

Two became one to purposefully explore,
What seemed perhaps life's great mystery.
It is those who dare to seek always for more
That find their way to rewrite history.

The more educated men stumble on rhymes,
Fortunate enough to get it wrong sometimes.
In the jungle, it pays to learn to be strong.
Two in one are better, knowing where they belong.

Raising their voices in an unknown sailing song,
They'll find their way right where they belong.
As long as the two in one have faith in each other,
They'll always have one another.

Thought For the Day: Whoever Controls the Volume of Money In Our Country Is Absolute Master of All Industry and Commerce

“Whoever controls the volume of money in our country is absolute master of all industry and commerce…when you realize that the entire system is very easily controlled, one way or another, by a few powerful men at the top, you will not have to be told how periods of inflation and depression originate.” – James A. Garfield

It is crucial in determining the source of all political violence to ‘follow the money.” Remember that Garfield was assassinated shortly after making these remarks in his inaugural address.
