A Conspiracy of Lambs
There’s a Netflix series called The Family. I am only two episodes into it but so far I’m both laughing and somewhat concerned. The Bible admonishes Christians to pray for our leaders both spiritual and in government. It is the Christian way. The series is trying to paint that as dark and menacing. My rebuke to that is if you think Christians are evil doing Christian things that we are instructed to do, maybe you need to rethink your thoughts. Or, maybe even.. it might that if you think good is evil, perhaps you’re who is evil?
A Conspiracy of Lambs by Michael Romani Member to member, getting each other Undivided in faith, sister and brother Doing the Lord's work in the Devil's playground The prayer of commonality is sought and found There are some who see this as conspiracy But if a conspiracy, there is love in the family All politics aside and putting away pride There is only one decision asked to decide Do you or don't you choose to believe The bringer of blessings for you to receive Doing right together for world and nation Heaven bound is not such a bad destination Trust factors add their own value When you replace adversity with me and you Our hope is found in the guidance of prayer God governs our affairs and will always be there Clearly seeking after elusive common ground Is where the most just answers can be found These are the ways of our Christian family And should stand not as conspiracy but legacy (c) August 30, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved

Only Miracles Can
There are so many miracles that surround us and are even part of us that we have come to take them for granted. I love when I am reminded of this.
Only Miracles Can by Michael Romani There's an alien world Below our unsure feet Toes stretched then curled As we and darkness meet Spun around in disorientation Underground caves tricky in initiation Caverns and cervices to explore Descending down into the more The more that is an alien environment Where a bacterium soup has leant Greater understanding than we have known Here below us and above us shown Where even moons hold water And plumes of hot water spray out farther Right before us as we turn to face The liquid outreaches of outer space We search high and low for life Knowing our scratched surfaces cannot suffice There in each fragile moment since life began And nothing has become the something only miracles can (c) August 29, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved

Dream Space
Broken hearts kinda byte…
Dream Space by Michael Romani There's a dream space Deep within the flame And it holds your name A moment that I embrace Thinking on your name Holier than my shame The happiness that I once felt Stays forever in my heart Like a secret wisdom to impart I prayed there as I knelt In a wish that you'd never part Stronger than my broken heart The flame acting as my guide Brings me somehow closer to you With the soundness of a heart beating true Hours spent alone as I cried Our moments of certainty, so few My heart cannot get past you (c) August 28, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
