Heartbound In Love

I once said something different about this post.  But, reality is this poem is actually 9/10ths inspired by a friend in a virtual environment who chose a name that is actually the impetus behind this poem.  The name was combined with the feelings she has had for the man on her profile forever now it seems.  I just want to be clear as possible on this one.

Heartbound In Love
by Michael Romani

A gypsy heart whispered on a silver light
That love isn’t love until that night
When you find yourself heart-bound in love
Until the stars turn blue
And all that you can think of
Is the better half of you

Lonely and already missing
Before your lips even stop kissing
As you whisper your goodbyes
Staring into each other’s eyes
You hope for all those tomorrows
Knowing they’ll be worth all the sorrow

Laughter shared without speaking
Sights seen without peeking
And you begin to know each other
More as we than one another
This is the one in a million loves
The kind that poets dream of

When a gypsy heart whispers on a sliver light
That love isn’t love until that night
When you find yourself heart-bound in love
Until the stars turn blue
And all that you can think of
Is the better half of you
