Glass Mirrors and Light
by Michael Romani
Somewhere in the ether
There lies a jaded nether
The collage confuses
As the actor refuses
In a mirrored division
With odd allusions of precision
Joined to create a suspended feeling
That leaves the audience reeling

A digital sense of creation
Presented for the duration
In a conjuring of suspended faces
The viewer is taken through his paces
Frontal lobe like mirrored image
Taken back in memories, we gaze
While Chagall's stained glass holds prayer
Somewhere nearer to heaven's stair

Troubled keys on an old, battered piano
Reminds us of tunes we knew and know
Tones emanating inwards like jewels of source
Disguising themselves underneath darkened coarse
