First Principles: Truth Does Not Fear Reasonable Inquiry

“Temperate, sincere, and intelligent inquiry and discussion are only to be dreaded by the advocates of error. The truth need not fear them…” – Dr. Benjamin Rush, Founding Father

When someone tells you  that something is a settled matter and does so loudly in the public discourse of our government, it is assured that they are frightened by their errors.  This is so on many issues in not just American society but pervasive throughout the world.  This is so because it’s only by reasoned discussion and pursuit of truth that we build a better world.  Beware of anyone who might try to tell you otherwise.  This is particularly true if they do so forcefully.
