Revival

Woken up to revival
More than survival
Renewing our standing
Never demanding

No longer spiritually stale
This is our story; this is our tale
A return to our first love
Finding faith in above

It's no sort of conspiracy
Living a life of vibrancy
Closer and closer to the Father
Heeding the word of the Author

Marking our destination
Lived in right relation
Setting our eyes on the gold
Letting our hearts unfold

Taking the words to heart
So loving from the very start
Before we thought we deserved it
The ears of our soul heard it

He gave His Son for us
Establishing the firm truss
Meeting us at His bridge
Taking us to the tallest ridge

It's there at the foot of the cross
Victory won in what seemed a loss
Finding the fountain of joy in Him
Putting aside our confused whims

Sometimes wondering how I've survived
Those are the moments I need revived
Lost in my stumbles as my world crumbles
Needing some hope beyond my grumbles

Hungering for the Word to bring its light
Need a soul sustaining moment walking right
Returning to God's path of abundance
Finding it provided with a mercy so wondrous

Finding that God joy in the center of my life
Separating those things that cause me strife
Seeing God work through all that I've found
Reviving those things that keep me glory bound
