Keeping it Real
by Michael Romani

Some are going through seasons
They surely have all their reasons
Slipping in and out of favor
Finding life has lost some of its savor

In the floods of life that’s just the way
We all suffer through our rainy days
Hoping for the goodness we so need
And by salvation we are all to be freed

Believing in faith that our God is good
And that we can be saved if we would
Acting on the our beliefs despite how we feel
This is the best way of keeping it real
Not acting on feelings but keeping in faith
Thus say the Lord; thus, He say saith
Keeping this belief as the core to our ways
Growing the goodness of faith in our days
There is a prospering of us in his intent
if we keep our eyes out for the heaven sent
Trusting in our God to deliver us as he would
Keeping to our best just as we know we should
Where God chooses to lead we should follow
Stepping into the light and out of the shadow
Holy promises made keeping courage displayed
Steadfast to His purposes without being dismayed
