Classical Guitar

The classical guitar or Spanish guitar is the concert guitar used within classical music and is a wooden guitar using nylon strings.  It is usually played using a fingerstyle approach plucking note with finger nails and sometimes finger tips to play the remarkable repertoire that has come to be associated with this genre.   A close derivative is the flamenco stylings that will be presented at another time.

Classical guitar itself spans approximately 400 years of music.  A representative grouping of this musical style has been compiled on this play list ranging from some favorites to a comprehensive history ranging from Renaissance period compositions through the early modern age.
