In this life that is so often tossed with a tumble
I can only hope some cookies never crumble
And I know that my life will always be good
Though not always as straight as it should
Just so long as there are crumbs to follow
I will always believe in that first Christmas snow
And I will know, yes, I will always know
To find my way to our Christmas tree glow
Where tinsel and ribbons tell their tale
And the gingerbread wafts its smell
Bringing us to the glad tidings of joy
And memories that we can always employ
To get us through the bad times and sad times
And laugh at the dances and sugar plumb crimes
That make us feel so innately clever
And make me believe .. that real love.. is… forever ….
