The Truth of Wars Won

USO On Memorial Day - Tribute To A Thankless War

The Truth of Wars Won
by Michael Romani

It's as often in the questions
That have not been asked
As it in the needs
That have not been tasked
That we find the answers needed
Much like the wild grasses have been seeded
Those that we need to grow
Into the secrets that we need to know
Loved like a talent for conspiracy
That underlies the links of history
For the chance that we might spy
All of the real reasons truth will supply
That most wars are won off the battlefield
Is the greatest truth that history has revealed
