Trials and Corrections

Trials and Corrections
by Michael RomaniMoving through our trials
Facing it all with smiles
With God as the Father
We’re His sons and daughtersAccepting His correction
He guides us in the right direction
Creator of the universe
He sculpts us into our better verse

Living poetry in motion
Driven by our emotions
Chipped away by tribulation
To get us to our destination

Reaffirming at our Calvary
That we are in the family
We rest assured never weary
Loved as children of His family

Benediction stands there calling
Gentle hands keep us from falling
Blessed as we are forever more
Blessed as can be forever more

Standing in the blazing furnace burning
Heads spinning from all we’re learning
Acts of love fill our hearts with excitement
Messages translated as they are meant
To hear the words of God in my ear
To see the world through His tears
To feel the love He wants us to live
We receive these things as He gives
Waves of trouble crumble on our shore

Kept in your richness despite our poor
These spirits of ours too often tossed
Sometimes stumbled but always crossed

Thanks to your sheltering of peace
In which we cling to find our release
Your words keep us calm inside our hearts
We pray your praise hoping to do our parts
Benediction stands there calling
Gentle hands keep us from falling
Blessed as we are forever more
Blessed as can be forever more
