“We are all sculptors and painters, and our material is our own flesh and bones.” – Henry David Thoreau, naturalist and author (1817-1862)

In this present life, what we choose to do and not do; consume and not consume; believe or disbelieve; pursue and not pursue; all of this shapes and molds and sculpts us not only in the moments we do these things but for our future. This is the life we have been given. This is the one we must live in. Choose wisely! But, choose!! Take the paths you believe will lead you to your best good. Love the loves you do and make each of the moments shared all that they can be and all that they have the potential for. We are artists of our own lives. The material as said above is our own bodies but he sadly missed something important here. Beneath all that is material is a spirt, a soul. Let this speak to you as you reach for your dreams and hopes. Let it never be conquered no matter the circumstances. This I believe is the way to our lives worth living. This is the path I’m choosing. How about you?
