Long before I was Christian, Christmas has always seemed the most magical and wonderful time of the year to me.  This despite one of my earliest memories being the results of plugging in one of those rotating light displays that had been left out in the middle of a monsoon in the Philippines.  I am not even sure that I was quite in kindergarten yet.  All that I remember is that my sister wanted to see the lights and I, her devoted little brother, was going to let her have her light show.  Little had I imagined that would include me being knocked across the drive way.  Man that hurt!!  No wonder I still remember it right? lol

All the same, it’s never changed.  I have always been captivated by the songs, the lights, the shows, the dreams, and most of all the love that permeates the air.  Now that might just be my way of dealing with the fact that I was born two days prior?  All the same, I’ll leave that to the professionals to one day decide if that should ever be of any importance to anyone.  To me, it’s enough to know this is my favorite time of the year.  My birthday, Jesus’ birthday, the lead up to the New Year.

It’s also a time of reflection for me as well.  I totally and completed busted my 12 goals not resolutions that I set for 2017.  It’s enough to make me shake my head.  Maybe fewer goals this year and more focus on getting things done?  That might just be the trick, right?  I always set a minimum of 12 goals since I was maybe 9 years old.
