It’s a tear away world filled with points of beauty
We have to fight for light like it is our best duty
Too many long walks off of desperately short piers
We all need somebody to wipe away all the tears
To make things right even when they all seem wrong
It becomes impossible sometimes to fit and belong
But our quest to do so is something that is so winsome
We struggle to break surface in being smart not dumb
Wanting to somehow make all the right sorts of choices
In a media blitz of corrupted synch and too many voices
Did I hear someone say that you know we’re gonna win some
I ask because my losses seem to outnumber and I’m feeling dumb
Reaching for the sky, I stifle my cry as I fall to pieces
I miss you already I hear me say as I feel third person in my releases
