Time Spent With the Harvard Classics: Darwin – The Voyage of the Beagle Chapter 10

On this day in 1839, Charles Darwin married Emma Wedgewood.

We have previously discussed the life and legacy of Charles Darwin as well as the work The Voyage of the Beagle with respect to other material from the book.  Please review these posts for further information to lay the context for this further reading.  Chapter 10 pertains to the voyage’s visit to just south of Patagonia to Tierra del Fuego – The Land of Fire.  The distinct original inhabitants of  this area all but extinct.  Darwin made a careful study of this land and its inhabitants that is well worth the read.
