Perhaps it is a bit much too parenthetical
To point out how the technique is identical
In that which the skaters do employ
And in bad taste to say so as they enjoy
Spinning in so many circles that I get dizzy
And those dance steps are wonderfully busy
Always working from inside the symmetrical
So much of this is the quest to appear identical
Skipping to the lights fantastic in sheer romance
All of the wonders of learning to skate an ice dance
Spiraling and maneuvering in a joyous waltz
Filled with love, laughter, and a bit of smaltz
It’s a very extraordinary act of physical art
One meant to be cherished from the heart
