Childhood walks in the deepness that we lived in
Kept us living present in a peacefulness like Zen
Luminescence peered down through the leaves
Seemingly wafted along on the chill of the breeze
In these secret gardens in which we built our forts
Built through shared love and rarely if ever force
We spent endless hours caught in our secret talks
Laughing at things lost and found on our walks
I learned the ways of life caught up in your eyes
Some things on purpose and some quite by surprise
Who knew that we were only passing ships
We celebrated then the essence of our friendships
These are the times that I find I treasure most
As I sit here quietly reminiscing with your ghost
