I don’t really want to interrupt

But, whose idea was it to disrupt

The explorations of childhood

Are second guessed and not understood

Free range kids at risk of intervention

Based on the government’s interpretation

And where parents rights are infringed

By a nanny state slightly unhinged

What should be timeless opportunity

Has become too many families’ indignity

A significant portion of a life is deprived

When freedom is unfelt until adulthood has arrived

We have to let go if we’re going to let grow

I wouldn’t think that is too much wisdom to know
