There’s that ole stray cat up on the garden wall
Without a care in the world that she’ll fall
In full pursuit, she chases dandelions in the wind
All day and night without pause, without end
Not a care in the world beyond her next meal
It’s a cinch that her world is about what’s real
Maybe a little cat fancy every now and then
Followed by periodic moments of mellow Zen
Paws up all caught up in her mystical chase
An amused look of meow crosses this kitty’s face
Her path chases up, down, all around the place
Giving her all for a hopeful grasp of the trace
As the dandelion puff becomes her next snack
With a ‘tahh dahhh” she gains her prey then gives it back
