Authenticity In Being

To this then you have been called
Because Christ as is recalled
Suffered that we might be free
And now we are to follow as He

Being the real deal and authentic
The real thing not some concentric
But the essence of all the being
Crafted to conformity in meaning

Being true to our inner essence
Brings the genuine to our presence
God created and breathed into application
Living it out in total appreciation

It's something hard for us to do
Setting our standards to the true
Truth lived in each moment revealed
It is through God we are instilled

It's in this image we are created
God rendered and Christ imitated
His example perfected in legacy
Is the faithful measure of authenticity

For this we are all once again called
To live full lives following and not stalled
Walking in His footsteps in full measure
It is in these things we  find our treasure

Holy discipline guides our sacred walk
Following the lead of the words we talk
Devout prayer that keeps God near
Is the thing that helps us persevere
