Jars of Clay Transformed

Based in part on 2 Cor  4:7-10:

The Plain of Jars - Shrouded Memories

Jars of Clay Transformed
by Michael Romani

Filled in our earthen jars of clay
Is the power that carries our day
Momentary points of affliction
Cannot outweigh the prediction

That all works towards God's good
It's an open secret we understand
There's no turning back time
In the mechanics of the eternal rhyme

One day closer to that eternity
And all that it means to be
As followers of Christ we grow
Increasingly better as we come to know

The inner part of each us is our definition
This is something that bears repetition
That part of us that we have deep inside
Is that part of us that we should not hide

The temporal body is doomed to corruption
And this thing we call life to interruption
As become truly who we are meant to be
Metamorphosized into our best eternity

Walking out path is one of transformation
In which we renew into our final destination
And there dear Lord we live as we pray
Becoming the promise day after joyful day
