What makes a writer write?
Even When Fractured Endlessly by Michael Romani Motifs of wilderness and isolation Provide the origin's ragged narration These are the stories that keep company Even when fractured endlessly Repapered randomness may seem inane But in its practice keeps the writer sane There on the edge's of sanity's border Are the things that keep oneself in order Opened moments seek out their intervention Somewhere in the overlap between life and invention Depression lead to alcoholism followed by depression Scraping by in his life's best impression God takes care of the drunkard and the fool And when He makes him a writer uses that tool It lacks all sense of formal irony Whether painted white or dressed in ebony Diabolic urges often swell to overload Leading to misadventures that beg to be told Lingering in the loneliness of desperation The fictional prose remains his only explanation (c) November 5, 2018 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
