Lessons For Advent

Jesus is the friend whose friendship will never cease
Jesus is the friend whose love will never decrease
We need a reminder of this especially in this season
We need to remember the essence of the reason

The message of Christmas is God's simple request
That we accept his friendship and do our best
God is waiting to give this to every one and all
And all we need to do is simply heed His call

There is only one way to get to the kingdom's reaches
That to accept the salvation as the Bible teaches
Whoever hears these sacred words and believes
Does the things that God wants and receives

God not only loves us but does so in celebration
And that should be everyone's sweet fascination
His love was so great that He gave us His son
Bringing us blessings that press on and on

God offers His ears to always quietly listen
Offering us assurance and onward to bliss then
God is a friend who gives the best advice
Pointing us in the right direction by device

To seek to make each of us become better
And to let us know  we're in it together
God will always be willing to help each of us
This is the substance of his very business

God's plan is the best sort of plan
That we ever conceived or can
God wants the very best in rooting you and me
He pursues are best as part of His family

His will be done in seeking our repentance
Turning from wickedness to good in evidence
God is the friend who brings out our best
The one who supports us in every single test

Carrying out His good work in you and me
And in this way, find our way through eternity
God's friendship born even before his Son
But Christmas led the necessity of His will done

Knowing these things and keeping these things
Is the path to keeping what this season brings
The choice is ours to seek and our to make
And with this choice, His love will never break
