Is it just me, or, when you drive through falling snow, does it feel sometimes like you’re in a magical sort of snow globe and just hope no one shakes you awake?
Snowfall On a Small Town by Michael Romani Snowflakes fell down that snowy day In a small town found along the way The streets were mostly cold and empty Of nearly anyone else's company Old cedar and fresh flowers Bring out the spirit of the hour Charging life for us all As some on this Christmas morning recall Breathing a little life into our days Letting Christmas have its own say Secrets must be tightly kept Despite the faded tears we have wept Life comes as it often will Replaced as our others seek a thrill And there then we are alone Wishing we could turn our hearts to stone Howling under the dawn's lingering moon Slipping into crazy maybe a bit too soon A good man gets his soul lost along the way Ate up alive by grief on this winter's day (c) December 30, 2018 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
