Samson

After four hundred years
Entered into the Promised Land
Traces of laughter and tears
Have made the people forget who commands

Turning their backs on God
The Israelites became weak
In a time when goodness was almost outlawed
And the Philistines had come to seek

Treasure in this land and to enslave
They came to conquer God's people
But a few remained holy and spoke of prophecy gave
That a son would be born to the ways of the temple

Samson would be born before all the seeing eyes
To set his people right by example and set them free
Though through all of this evil would despise
Samson had come to return his people to liberty
